From 1942 to 1943, under the direction of Odette Schwab, Lolo hid Jewish families in the French departments of Indre, the Cher, the Vienne and Creuse.
With Cathy Poirier she smuggled Jewish children into Spain with the help of the Quakers in Toulouse.
She accompanied convoys of children to Switzerland under the aegis of Georges Garel and Andre Salomon. Officially she was a member of the Red Cross.
From 1943 to 1944 she was an instructor in the Jewish children's home Couret in Haute-Vienne while continuing to place and visit children.
On Pesach (Passover) 1944 she organized an illegal seder in the Massif Central for the children hidden in the center of France.
In August 1944 she was arrested by the Gestapo and interned for 99 days in the prison at Limoges.
