Personal Notes:
First studied with Rabbi Fromm in Bad Homburg, then in Zell near Würzburg and then in Eisenstadt, Hungary. Attended the universities in Marburg and in Würzburg and lastly in Halberstadt.
Was regional Rabbi in Rotenburg on the Fulda from 1866 to 1901.
From 1901 onwards gave private tutorage in Frankfurt am Main where he was still living, at 34 Gausstrasse, in 1909.
Together with Salomon Strauss he compiled the "Anleitung zum Stammbaum der Familie Strauss" which is where most of the information here about Lob and his descendants is from.
