Personal Notes:
Emigrated to Johannesburg in 1936. Owned a fashion store. His ashes were scattered at Protea Hill, his home on the summit of Witkoppen on 29 March 1992 together with those of his cousin Erna Kohrs. The house is now used by FreeMe Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre which is part of the Rietfontein Ridge Nature Reserve.
