Personal Notes:
Paul came to Israel in 1936 after doing French military service in Lebanon and Syria (French foreign legion?).
His father intended to make Aliyah and had purchased land near Elad, and a house in Jerusalem which was later sold.
He joined the military in 1940 and participated in operations in Egypt, Libya and southern France under the banner of the Free French forces.
After the war, he and his wife divorced and he remarried in France.
