Personal Notes:

Became known as Henry. Arrived in the USA in 1870 and was in Virginia City, Nevada by July 1872, where he served in the volunteer fire department. He and his younger brother Jacob apparently took over their brother Adolph's business after he married and moved to Kansas. In 1889 Henry was living in Wardner. Shortly after their marriage, Henry and Esther moved to Spokane where Henry first worked as a clerk for his father-in-law in his dry goods and clothing store. He later worked as a travelling salesman and in 1901 returned for a short time to Wardner, Idaho. Back in Spokane Henry opened a clothing store, Bloch and Company in 1907 with the assistance of his younger brother Morris.
